Templating
Before a single slab is cut, we capture the exact shape of your units on site — every wall that is out of square, every curve and every cut-out.
Templating is the measuring stage. We visit once your base units are installed and level, and record the real geometry of the space rather than working from a plan that may have changed on site.
Where the run allows, we use a laser templating system that records corners, returns and angles digitally, so the file that drives the cutting machine matches the room. For tighter or simpler layouts a physical template may be used. Either way, the aim is the same: a worktop that sits flush to the walls with consistent overhangs.
At the template stage we confirm the practical details that affect the cut — sink and hob models, tap positions, socket cut-outs, upstand heights and the edge profile you have chosen. Getting these agreed before fabrication is what keeps the fit clean.

- Exact wall lengths, returns and any out-of-square corners
- Sink, hob, tap and drainer positions from your chosen models
- Socket and switch cut-outs
- Edge profile, upstand heights and overhang preferences
- Joint positions on longer runs, agreed with you
